Who we are
NicheandNews is an independent news site that covers what is happening in the United States. We write about politics, courts and crime, the economy, and sports in plain language, so you can understand the story without wading through jargon.
The site is run by Susan, who started it to give readers short, clear and accurate summaries of the day’s biggest stories.
What we cover
- Politics: Washington, elections and public policy.
- Courts and crime: major rulings, trials and investigations.
- Economy: inflation, interest rates, jobs and the issues that affect your wallet.
- Sports: scores, playoffs and big moments.
How we work
Our goal is simple: tell you what happened, who said it, and what comes next. We stick to the facts and credit where information comes from. When something is still unclear, we say so instead of guessing. You can read more in our Editorial Policy.
